2/11/2024 0 Comments Reset apple pencil 2![]() Replaced the tip with a brand new Apple Pencil tip. I gently attempted to clean the nib by blowing on it (thanks Sega Genesis) The square conductor on top of the nib appears intact and everything about the gold-colored conductor on this nib appears identical to a working pencil. Removed the tip of the pencil and inspected the nib of the pencil for any obvious physical damage, or dirty/scratched/irregular conductor material. There are no cracks or scratches (or even blemishes) on the pencil. Visually inspected the pencil for obvious physical damage. ![]() We have taken the following steps several times: The iPad is not responding to it in the OS, in Procreate, in Safari. The problem is that my daughter's 2nd Gen Apple Pencil will connect to her iPad (or any of the other 11" iPad Pros we have) but it doesn't appear to be sending the proper signal to the iPad that would cause it to work. Then press and hold the “power” button until the Apple logo appears.) I assume this is the first time the battery has died, and leave it to charge for the remainder of the evening. ![]() No more than about three weeks after my purchases, I’m working on a logo and the Pencil stops working. I recently purchased an Apple Pencil 2 & the latest iPad Air. Otherwise contact Apple Support to see if you have a defective Pencil. If not be sure your Bluetooth is turned on. When your iPad restarts, you should now see the Apple Pencil button displayed with the battery percentage. PRESS & HOLD POWER BUTTON UNTIL THE APPLE LOGO IS DISPLAYED. PRESS & QUICKLY RELEASE VOLUME UP BUTTON. !!Be sure your iPad is charged to at least 80% and that your Apple Pencil attached!! You will also not lose any saved data such as apps or photos. This is not the same as just turning off your iPad and turning it back on. Try to FORCE RESET if your Apple Pencil won’t show up on Bluetooth settings but is recognized when attached to your iPad (showing grey Apple Pencil bubble, but not battery display).
